Women want men who know how to work out their problems on their own without taking it out on the relationship. Women want men who have a good sense of adventure balanced with impulse control. Adventurous = good. Impulsivness = bad. Poor impulse control scares women on a subliminal level. Women want men who can experience anger without being destructive. Anger + Low Impulse Control = major behavioral problems.Bad. Women generally do not want to burn up their energy acting like a parent. They much prefer a man who has the comforting sense of a healthy internalized parent figure. That works. Woman like guys who know what they're talking about and have the inner sense of security to admit they don't know when they don't know.
Candor can be a huge turn on. Self deprecation isn't.
