After all, you just want a fast and easy way to get
talking to that hot blonde over in the corner, and if
you can just pull out a witty little pick up line to
do it for you, why not, right?
The problem here is that if you have ever used a set
of real crutches, you know that it's hard to go back
to walking again when you get used to them. It's the
same problem when you start to get used to memorizing
your conversation with a woman in advance. You'll never
sound fresh or convincing.
You'll just sound like an actor.

are expected.
There have even been scientific studies done (believe
it or not) to determine why guys use pick up lines. One
of the reasons they've found is that men believe that
women expect men to throw some shameless flattery their
way to start the conversation. They figure that the easiest
path is the one that she probably wants, right?
The problem is that when you use a cheesy pick up line
like this, she writes you off right away as being predictable.
And there's nothing more boring than being predictable.

what else to say.
This is the real core reason why guys use pick up lines.
We just don't know what else to say to women that will
start a conversation and initiate some flirting. It seems
like there must be some kind of secret formula for opening

back on one cheap technique for talking to women, hoping
that we'll 'get lucky.'
And if you go into a conversation with just one pick
up line and no plan for how the rest of the conversation
should go, you're going to have unpredictable and inconsistent
results.

they're cheap and common.
This is really important to understand: Women need to
feel unique and special. It's one of the primary ingredients
for attraction to begin. So women are looking for signs
from you that you're treating her as a very special and
unique woman. If she feels for a second that you're just
saying these things to get her to go along with you,
she'll immediately pull away.
That's why what you say to her must always feel to her
as if you're saying it for the first time - and not just
reciting some cheap pickup line you found online.

you off."
In order to get attraction started with a woman, you
have to impress her. And, as I said before, nothing says "mindless" and "common" like
using a pick up line.
When you first meet a woman, you need to communicate
two things right away: 1) Confidence, and 2) Authenticity.
Both of those traits will show her that you're a man
that stands out and can deliver when the time comes.
Both of those traits are also essential for getting
a woman interested in what you have to say.

line isn't as important as you think.
I know you're probably going to be shocked to hear that,
but it's true. Your opening line isn't nearly as important
as how you respond to *what she says to you.*
Why is this?
Well, any guy can just recite his stock pick up line,
right? You could have practiced that in the mirror for
hours and hours to get the delivery just right. Super
slick.
But what she says back to you is something you can NEVER predict. And it's always a small challenge to you that

woman in this room," and then she says:
"How do you know that for sure?"
Yowch!
How are you going to reply to that?
