Sometimes picking up that phone to call a woman seems like an insurmountable obstacle. You can\u2019t figure it out. It was easy to walk up to her at the caf\u00e9 and strike up a conversation and get her number and now that you have it \u2013 you freeze.<\/p>\n

If you can learn how to be comfortable calling girls<\/strong><\/em>, you are well on your way to the next most important step \u2013 setting up an in person meeting.<\/p>\n

(Okay, there are actually three options \u2013 you might not get her but still not have the ability to leave a message for whatever reason. In that case, wait a full day and try again. Whatever you do, don\u2019t keep calling because it will probably show up on her caller ID and she will be freaked out that you are a stalker and avoid you for life.)<\/p>\n

So, assuming she doesn\u2019t pick up, your next step is to leave a message. A very brief message. You should only say your name, maybe remind her of where you met and then ask her to call you. That\u2019s it.<\/p>\n

3. Again, there are two scenarios to look at here.<\/strong> She either calls you back or she doesn\u2019t. Let\u2019s first address a scenario in which she doesn\u2019t return your call. Wait two days and try again. If you don\u2019t reach her a second time, leave another message. Now the ball is out of your court. You will do nothing else unless she calls back. If she doesn\u2019t call back, it\u2019s over. Move on. Otherwise, you are a desperate chump.<\/p>\n

4. In the second scenario, she calls back.<\/strong> Ask her how her day was. Let her talk for as long as she wants to. When she is done, don\u2019t tarry around, and chits chat. Your goal with this phone call is simple: To arrange an in-person meeting. To that. Then get off the phone. Your job is done. It might be hard if you are a talker, but you can save those long, lingering phone conversations for when you\u2019ve been dating for a while. Right now, you want to maintain a bit of mystery.
