After a while, a dam bursts inside you and the emotions start flooding you so fast you don\u2019t know which way is up.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s ok, we\u2019ve all been through this crap one time or another. Here\u2019s how you can keep your head above water and see that light at the end of the tunnel:<\/p>\n<p><strong>#1: \u201cLet it Hit You Like a Truck\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You\u2019re feeling absolutely horrible right now, and you want to sift through the rubble of your failed relationship. Don\u2019t \u2013 now is not the time to figure out what went wrong.<\/p>\n<p>That part comes later. Right now, focus on just dealing with the all those emotions beating down your door.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s my advice: let them in. It\u2019s the first step of your healing process.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.attractwomen.com\/alphasexualpower\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-6089 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.win-with-women.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/the_break_up-t2-300x110.jpg\" alt=\"the_break_up-t2\" width=\"412\" height=\"151\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Comedian Louis C.K. once said that when you have those moments of sadness (which is what defines a breakup), you need to let those emotions wash over you and \u201clet it hit you like a truck.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Embrace the pain, disbelief, anger and every other negative feeling coursing through you. It\u2019s all temporary anyway.<\/p>\n<p>Once you let it pass through you like a bad burrito you had the night before, you\u2019ll eventually get it out of your system. (Breaking up is a crappy deal &#8211; sorry for the graphic analogy.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>#2: Operation: Social Media Blackout<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the time being, purge your ex\u2019s name from your phone\u2019s contact list, Facebook account and any other site you\u2019re on. Communicating with your ex isn\u2019t the best move for either of you.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019re both still going through the motions of grieving over the relationship, so neither of you are in the best state of mind to talk about it. Otherwise, it\u2019s going set back the recovery process for both of you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>#3: Approach it From a Different Angle<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ok, now that you\u2019ve given yourself time to work through your feelings, you\u2019re ready to move on to looking back at the relationship.<\/p>\n<p>The biggest mistake is to think that the breakup was all on you. Any relationship involves two people who both contributed to the end result.<\/p>\n<p>Blaming yourself for everything that happened is going to keep you from looking back objectively. Worse, you\u2019ll end up begging your ex to forgive you when you aren\u2019t even sure how things really ended.<\/p>\n<p>That said, don\u2019t treat the breakup as a sign that your ex was too good for you, which is the mindset for a lot of guys.
