The fact is that dating is just like sales. You have to be willing to run the numbers to find the diamonds in all that coal out there.

There are a lot more similarities to sales than that, of course. You also have to be willing to make those "calls," go through your "pitch," and try for the "close."

(By the way, if you don't want to believe that dating is like sales, just look at any guy that's married. Someone had to close the deal there, didn't they?)

But most important in dating is to run the numbers: Approach and meet women all the time.

This means meeting enough women that just the sheer law of chance will put you in bed with one of them. Running the numbers is simply about meeting as many women as you possibly can.

The most successful salesmen out there know this one - whether they are selling a car, or a screenplay, or a project at work. You have to be able to make your pitch in just a few seconds.

And you have to be able to do this with women, too.

You have 30 seconds (sometimes less) to hook her interest before she walks away.

Well, most guys don't, honestly. Which is why most guys fail with women.

You need to know what to say the second that hot brunette walks by you, because you may never see her again. And there's nothing worse than letting those rare opportunities slip through your fingers again and again and again...

How To Get A Girlfriend - Step 3: Close like a pro.

I read an interesting article that talked about the closing ratios for salespeople, and they were horrendous. What it all came down to was that most salesmen didn't succeed because they didn't do ONE simple thing: Ask for the sale.

Yes, just like the big dogs in sales, you gotta CLOSE.

If you just ASK, you'll probably get what you want. But most guys either don't believe they deserve it, or they talk themselves out of it. And that's a crying shame.

When I say "ask for the close" I'm not saying that you just ask her for her phone number - although that's part of it. What I'm telling you to do is just go for it.

Asking for the close is really about just knowing when to say:

"Look, you know you want this. Let's stop messing around here and do this. You don't want to 'think' about it, you just want to give yourself an excuse not to do anything. And that's not the way to win. So let's get down to business."

And you simply go for it. You hold her hand. You lean in for the kiss. You take her back to your place.

You MAKE it happen.
